Justin Dart was a long time disability/human rights advocate who fought for the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act, healthcare for all Americans, including those with disabilities and supported mental health parity, integrated employment, inclusive education and much much more. He has often been quoted for saying, “vote as if your life depends on it because it does.” The disability community must focus its energy on getting voters educated about disability/human rights and services and they must vote for candidates that support these issues. Disability in fact is the largest, most diverse minority group there is. Let’s celebrate the Start of National Voter Education Week
