DON Links program

DON Services Links program provides direct support professionals to assist those receiving waiver support through the Office of Developmental Programs with either an Intellectual Disability Waiver or an Adult Autism Waiver that live in Lawrence County or Mercer County. Services can include:

  • Home and community supports providing staffing to protect the health and safety and to assist in improving self-help, socialization, domestic and adaptive skills.  Transportation is also provided as necessary to go out in the community.
  • Companion Services to provide staffing for the supervision and minimal assistance focused solely on health and safety of the individual in their residence
  • Homemaker/Chore Services which provides staffing for cleaning, laundry, and other household care for those who live alone and are unable to complete care on their own.

Eligibility is determined by each county’s Mental Health/Developmental Services department for those with a diagnosis of an Intellectual  Disability or Autism prior to the age of 21 and eligible for medical assistance.
